Corporate Events Manager
Location: Onsite/Hybrid in San Francisco Duration: 10 months Pay: up to $50.00 / hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Corporate Events Manager to join our well known lifestyle brand technology client on an 10-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working an onsite/hybrid schedule in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver company-wide employee events of varying sizes and complexity.
Leading a team of internal cross functional partners, vendor management, setting vision/direction, specifying success metrics, and working toward common goals.
Work cross functionally with office leads, Site Managers, employee resource groups, and others to design and execute global events that work within the parameters of each unique office.
Manage strict budgets, process contracts and purchase orders.
Review and negotiate vendor contracts.
Manage organized tracking system to successfully oversee 10+ office logistics and capture metrics for management.
Engaging remote/virtual employees within the programming.
Full production planning from employee registration, security and check in plan, event flow/agenda, floor plans, decor, design, vendor management, onsite management, load in, load out logistics, and more.
Post event tracking of metrics (ex: % of office who signed up vs actually attended by tracking RSVPs)
Maintain alignment with brand guidelines, core values, business priorities and internal events expectations throughout all event communications, design, program planning and procurement decisions.
Bring fun, alternative ideas to brainstorm with the team for unique and memorable experiences
Onsite production of all events planned by members of our team, including install and strike dates.
Qualifications:
5+ years of practical experience in a role related to event management (food and beverage, off-site event operations, Workplace (onsite employee events, etc)
Proven strength in problem solving and project management; including managing event planning committees and multiple cross-functional partners
Background in conferences and/or virtual event planning a plus
Proven interest or background in diversity, equity and inclusion
Hyper-focused on building relationships, championing inclusion and advocating the Company's mission of positivity and digital wellbeing.
Ability to travel (including internationally) to conduct site visits and/or produce events onsite
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate multiple time zones, travel or event “crunch times” which may require weekends and/or after hours work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing strict budgets
Strong time and task management skills
Proficiency in Google Suites
