Instructional Designer

Location:
 Cupertino CA
Duration: ~1 Year
Pay: Up to $71.10/hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will follow a hybrid work schedule, working Tuesday to Thursday onsite in their Cupertino office.
 
Instructional Designer Responsibilities:
  • Help reorganize, scale, and ensure a cohesive visual identity is used for L&D programs, internal training event websites, and more.
  • Build new courses for both technical and functional trainings.
  • Help with instructor lead trainings and courses.
  • Work with the internal team to develop onboarding materials, programs, and all around content for onboarding.
  • Help build engagement pieces for the assigned department that go along with L&D programs such as updates for websites, events, social learning, newsletters, etc.
  • Work with SME's to understand functionality and content needs in order to concept new creative ideas.
  • Design L&D visual assets ensuring that they are in line with the brand.
  • Communicate design ideas through story boards, scripts, and sketches.
  • In some instances help craft, edit, and proofread content, issuing approvals per established workflows.
  • Ensure that projects are being managed and clear timeframes and work schedules are met for deadlines.
  • Utilize HTML to update the websites and content channels.
  • QA and continually check to ensure that the content remains current and updated.
  • Help create content and messaging for internal communication channels around new process changes and new tools through Keynote presentations or newsletters.
Instructional Designer Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using tools like Sketch and Figma.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and implementation skills.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in working with websites and content management systems.
