Location: Remote Duration: 9 months Pay: up to $62/hr, DOE
Planet Interactive's well-known lifestyle technology client is looking for an Instructional Designer with experience creating eLearning courses for support teams on an 9-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a remote schedule.
This position is responsible for the design and development of engaging, learner-centered training courses, modules, and materials. This position will work to create these trainings for a variety of platforms including remote learning, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning, etc.
Within this role you will also be a key thought partner as we build training end-to-end, coming in with a point of view on how training content gets developed and make recommendations on training modalities based on your expertise. This person will be responsible for design work of decks / presentations / training material / and the Brand's Learning Management System landing pages. Design work is including but not limited to sales onboarding collateral, product training materials, etc, while abiding by brand guidelines and standards where applicable. This person will interact cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Create training content that takes complex topics and turn them into engaging, digestible course materials within Articulate Rise, our Learning Management System (LMS), Google presentations, etc.
Create knowledge checks / assessments based on course content
Help design LMS landing pages to be simple, sleek, and on-brand leveraging graphic design skills
Partner closely with cross functional team members to help design and develop course content in areas including but not limited to sales onboarding, product training, various sales certifications (soft and hard skills), and more
Design work including but not limited to illustrations, deck design, training materials, landing pages within LMS.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of Instructional Design experience
Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques
Must have experience with e-learning development tools including Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, and have experience working within a LMS
Demonstrated experience developing self-paced eLearning curriculums, storyboards, online tutorials, assessments and other materials
Experience in graphic design and general design work in areas including but not limited to: visualizing data (making charts / graphs), deck design, creating illustrations, GIFs, etc
Experience working at a marketing agency, digital / social media organization, and / or have extensive ad tech knowledge
Ability to get up to speed on our product offerings and tools quickly
Solid project management skills including, planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, working with stakeholders, and navigating ambiguity to deliver results.
Experience in multi-media development in audio, video, and/or animation (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, AfterEffects)
Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation (e.g. gamification, virtual reality, xAPI)
