Localization Project Manager
Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12 months Pay: up to $53/hour, DOE Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and more
Planet Interactive is looking for a Localization Project Manager to join our well known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will work 40 hours per week and will require this person to be fully onsite in their Austin, TX office.
This role requires assistance in localization efforts, coordinating localization QA, working with vendor testers locally and internationally, and interacting with multiple team members in the internal team. The candidate will be creating QA plans, supporting QA efforts in the localization lab, fixing bugs, and ultimately helping to deliver high quality localized products on time in up to 40 languages simultaneously. The candidate needs the skills to quickly recognize and raise issues and communicate status effectively to their management.
Localization Project Manager Responsibilities:
Lead localization projects from beginning to end.
Utilize the in-house translation management software and translation memory tools for projects.
Lead and direct localization vendors and internal cross-functional partners.
Act as the main point of contact for urgent localization requests that come in.
Handle Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) on assigned portfolio.
Help build and manipulate reporting within the organization.
Handle handoff review meetings, gather feedback, and push out localization projects based on specific needs.
Work on localization content for the eCommerce experience, store applications, and other platforms.
Localization Project Manager Qualifications:
BA degree or equivalent
Experience with scripting in Python and JavaScript is desired.
Native-level fluency in one or more languages besides English desired.
Solid understanding of Localization Workflows, Software Development, and Software QA.
Experience working with content management databases and localization tools.
Proven record of localization project management, testing and bug tracking
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team environment
Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills and experience
Experience with planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within very tight timeframes
High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables and call out blockers, as soon as they arise, to the multi-functional partners.
Ability to be flexible, highly organized, and respond quickly and enthusiastically to often rapidly changing direction.
Ability to be inventive, able to handle complex situations and deadlines, have very good analytical skills, and strong aim to learn and succeed.
