Manager of Content ManagementLocation: Sunnyvale, CA Schedule: Onsite Tues/Wed/Thurs Pay: Up to $65 per hour DOE Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision and More
Planet Interactive is looking for a Manager of Content Management to work with our fortune 500 company on a 4 month contract.
The Manager of Content Management will manage a team of content managers and content management leads. As the Manager you will support the Head of Content and support delivery of critical content to websites across the client’s web properties. You will oversee the evolution of the CMS platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the content management team, developing and improving process, informs training, education, sets goals for career development, and serves as a liaison between the company and client partners.
Manager of Content Management Key responsibilities:
Mentoring and career development of Content Managers and Senior Content Managers
Work with the Head of Content Management to define overall team strategy/goals/expectations
Facilitate the cultivation of team culture
Manage the relationship to other teams
Partners with Senior Management, Operations and HR to establish and communicate company strategy and policy
Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to address them.
When necessary undertake content management activities in support of product launches and other marketing programs.
Manages partner relationship
Communicates identified risk to partners
Clears roadblocks and manages external negotiation
Owns resourcing/project staffing (in consultation with Partner)
Works with client to establish overall Content Strategy
Manages team process/workflow definition and optimization
Ensures documentation and training
Defines and enforces the limits of the CM role
Manager of Content Management Requirements:
Exceptional attention to detail.
Highly detail oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
Ability to motivate and maintain the team and communicate with client partners using strong written and verbal communication skills
Thoroughness and accuracy are ubiquitous in our work.
Excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with others in an unpredictable environment.
Flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules.
Resourceful, adaptable, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
Able to balance multiple projects and assignments and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced web publishing workplace
Skilled and experienced in estimating resource needs and schedules
Experience managing content management or web production teams
Experience using a complex CMS such as FatWire, AEM and SDL
Knowledge of HTML, XML, JSP and familiarity with Git/SVN would be ideal.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience working on web production teams
3+ years supervisory experience required
A Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferably with a focus on marketing, design, or communication.
Experience managing content for a global audience and using a CMS required.
Deep knowledge of how content management systems and related system processes work.
Knowledge of HTML, XML, JSP, and enterprise content management systems a plus.
