Location: Boston, MA 02108 + Onsite 2x week 
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 (10% bonus opportunity)

Planet Interactive's Cybersecurity Client is hiring for a Direct-Hire Marketing Automation Manager with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing database management, data analysis, or related to join a growing corporate marketing team starting in December 2024.

The Marketing Automation Manager to oversee the management, segmentation, and optimization of our marketing database. This role is critical in ensuring data accuracy, enhancing lead quality, and driving effective targeting for marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial third-party contact databases, marketing automation platforms, and data management best practices. The Marketing Database Manager will work closely with marketing, sales, and analytics teams to support campaign success and data integrity.

Marketing Automation Manager Responsibilities:

1. Database Management & Maintenance:
  • Oversee and maintain the marketing database, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and proper segmentation.
  • Regularly audit and enrich data, including removing duplicates, updating records, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Implement and manage data enrichment processes to enhance the completeness and quality of database information.
2. Data Segmentation & Audience Targeting:
  • Develop and maintain data segmentation strategies to optimize campaign targeting and personalization.
  • Create, update, and refine customer segments based on behaviors, demographics, engagement levels, and other attributes to improve campaign relevance and response rates.
  • Collaborate with the campaign team to build targeted lists for email and digital advertising campaigns.
3. Campaign and Technical Support:
  • Support marketing campaigns by creating and managing data lists, imports, and exports within marketing automation and CRM systems.
  • Ensure all third-party marketing data is standardized to ensure seamless integration with marketing automation tools (e.g., Pardot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and managing database for ABM activation and custom audience uploads to marketing platforms (LinkedIn, 6Sense, Demandbase, etc.)
  • Collaborate to ensure proper lead flow and handoff processes, including lead scoring and prioritization.
4. Data Analytics & Reporting:
  • Track, analyze, and report on key database metrics, including growth, engagement, segmentation performance, and lead quality.
  • Provide insights into data trends and campaign effectiveness to inform marketing strategy and optimize targeting.
  • Work with RevOps to generate reports and dashboards that highlight database health, campaign impact, and segmentation effectiveness.

5. Data Governance & Compliance:
  • Work with Tech and Data Engineer to ensure our third-party data sources comply with our   data governance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all third-party marketing data is in compliance with our data quality, accuracy, and security policies
  • Work with Marketing Operations to maintain up-to-date records of consent and opt-out preferences.
  • Work with Marketing Operations and Tech to develop processes to handle internal data update requests and maintain transparency in data handling practices.
6. Database Growth & Optimization:
  • Work with marketers to develop strategies to grow the marketing database in alignment with lead generation goals.
  • Optimize the database for scalability and performance, ensuring that it can support the company’s growth and campaign needs.
  • Implement data acquisition and enrichment strategies to increase the database’s value and segmentation capabilities.
7. Technology & Tool Management:
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools and technologies to improve database management and campaign performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in database management and marketing automation.

Marketing Automation Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, or related field.
