Senior UX Designer Location: Remote Pay: $58 per hour DOE Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401K
Planet Interactive is seeking a Senior UX Designer to work with our prominent healthcare administration client on a 12-month contract.
The Senior UX Designer be responsible for working within a cross-functional team to plan and design a consistent user experience for our customer-facing web and mobile portfolio. You will leverage and contribute to our design system, as well as adhere to accessibility standards and best practices. You will partner with product owners, developers, researchers, business analysts, and compliance specialists to translate requirements into experience architectures.
Senior UX Designer Responsibilities
Drive creative and holistic design thinking across diverse product releases, web and mobile platforms, and devices.
Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with cross-functional partners to efficiently implement user experiences that are customer-centric, cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
Plan and track your UX projects and deliverables from inception to completion through iterative stages, optimizing for user experience quality and design productivity.
Produce meaningful, comprehensive design solutions for information architecture, navigation, task flows, UI patterns and components, and all manner of interaction design specifications for enhancing ease of use for mobile and Web platforms.
Apply strong foundational knowledge of visual design principles to your design solutions, working within the design system and brand guidelines.
Participate in the planning of user research activities to inform your iterative design decisions via customer input as well as data analytics.
Proactively participate in group design reviews to receive and share feedback and ensure high quality designs and great customer experience outcomes.
Senior UX Designer Qualifications
4+ years of UX or related experience is preferred
A degree in a related field such as interactive design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, or human factors is preferred
Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred
Experience running and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions preferred
A digital portfolio we can review online is required
An array of design skills, which might include visual, conversational, information architecture, prototyping, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, or writing
Ability to design across all channels including web, native, and automated
Effective communication as a writer, presenter, and facilitator; equally at ease speaking with developer partners or executives
A foundation of development knowledge, both web and mobile
Familiarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale, and knowing when to contribute to make them better
Expertise with Figma, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Partnering with user research to understand the customer problems to tackle
Distilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data
