Title: Social Media Specialist Location: Hybrid Pay Rate: $35-$38/hr depending on experience
Planet Interactive is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients.
The Social Media Specialist is accountable for the day-to-day operations of growing global employee advocacy via their personal social media channels. This role will have a solid understanding of the clients policy for employee use of social, as well as a knowledge of social media content best practices with specific focus on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:
Develop new training and recruitment materials in collaboration with Associate Director of Social and Manager of Affiliate Social as needed for employee advocacy program.
Lead trainings throughout the company to educate employees for how they can talk about the client on their personal social channels in a compliant way.
Drive employee advocacy efforts through integration with EveryoneSocial, as well as internal channels such as the client's intranet site, including content creation and associated asset creation.
Track and measure advocacy efforts on quarterly basis, optimizing approach and content strategy based on key learnings.
Experience presenting and creating reports for executive leadership team members on an ongoing basis (at least quarterly).
Partner with Associate Director of Social on advocacy content calendar, ensuring at least two suggested posts are offered to employees per week.
Partner with Manager of Affiliate Social to ensure suggested content is pulled through to affiliate countries participating in the program on a weekly basis.
Meet with affiliate country participants on a monthly basis alongside Manager of Affiliate Social to troubleshoot any issues and provide guidance.
Meet with other Group program leads on a monthly basis (i.e. Corporate Affairs, Talent Acquisition, etc.) to provide guidance and discuss their programming needs.
Support affiliates who would like to launch the program for the first time in their local countries.
Onboard and train new Social Champions as requests come in.
Meet with EveryoneSocial vendor on a monthly basis to learn of optimization opportunities or new tool functionalities.
Coordinate SWAG orders and mailing to welcome new Social Champions at the start of every quarter.
Execute incentives for most active Social Champions at the start of every quarter.
Additional ad hoc social media responsibilities may be required, including pitching in on other corporate social media projects that support the team’s overall objectives.
Social Media Specialist Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
Exceptional writing and communication skills.
Has a working knowledge of social media channels and how they are leveraged for marketing.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with international stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines.
Self-starter, proactive problem solver, with a service mindset.
Passion for training others in new processes.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as a member of a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in SharePoint.
Proficiency in Canva.
