UX Design Producer
Location: Hybrid in Cupertino, CA Duration: 6 months; potential to extend Pay: $85.75/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a UX Design Producer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 6-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is hybrid in Cupertino, CA.
The UX Design Producer will support the Product Design team with website and user experience design for various web tools and software interfaces. This person will collaborate with Design Managers and other Producers to provide overall team and project leadership. They will work closely with the design team and cross-functional partners to define project requirements, clarify design goals, lead design reviews, and ensure a quality release of the final products and features.
The UX Design Producer will play a big part in upholding Company values and driving innovation and creativity though design work. The team strives for a strong eye and passion for design with a strong attention to detail, being resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results oriented with high energy and a positive outlook. This is a fast-paced team focused on complex design challenges. This position works closely with many other teams and will be an advocate for user experience.
UX Design Producer Responsibilities:
Manage cross functional relationships while representing design team
Support the team to create project plans set key milestones, and track issues
Lead design brainstorms and workshops
Run meetings and design reviews. Gather key ideas, decisions, issues, and action items in meeting notes.
Track and report project health on a weekly basis, including communicating status and impending or projected results
Drive planning of in partnership with Design Manager
Negotiate priorities for the design team given limited resources and at times aggressive schedules
Ensure timely handoff of design comps and specs to engineering
Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure design integrity has remained intact during implementation
Constantly improve processes and communications in an ever-changing, fast-paced working environment
UX Design Producer Qualifications:
7+ years as a producer/project manager in software design, digital or creative agency experience preferred
Understanding of UX/UI and software ideation, execution, and delivery processes
Understanding of desktop, mobile, and native app design best practices
Thorough understanding of integrating design, business, marketing, engineering and stakeholder teams to clarify project requirements, define design goals and strategy, execution, and delivery processes
Ability to grasp complexity quickly, focus on key issues, while adapting to constant change
Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive results while juggling many projects and priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
