UX Researcher
 
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Pay: $85/hr, DOE
 
Planet Interactive is looking for a UX Researcher to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on a 12-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a remote schedule.
 
Responsibilities:   
  • Develop and execute research plans, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, and ethnographic studies to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Recruit and manage research participants, ensuring diverse representation across target demographics.
  • Design research protocols, interview guides, and survey questionnaires.
  • Conduct research sessions, moderate discussions, and effectively capture qualitative data.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate techniques to identify key insights and trends.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations for product development and design improvements.
  • Create clear and concise research reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Proactively present research insights with oversight from the manager to key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the contractor manager to align research goals with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize research findings and translate them into actionable design decisions. 
Qualifications:   
  • Strong User Research Expertise with proven experience conducting various user research methods including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and ethnographic research.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and (light) quantitative data analysis techniques to derive meaningful insights from research data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present research findings to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage research projects independently, including timelines, budgets, and participant recruitment.
  • Familiarity with user research tools and software for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
