Web Content Specialist

Location: New York City, NY
Schedule: Onsite Tues-Thurs
Pay: Up to $30 per hour DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a Web Content Specialist to join our well known communications client on a 12-month contract. This role will work a 9am to 6pm schedule, with an hour lunch period and requires you to be onsite Tuesday to Thursday in their office in New York City with Monday and Friday being remote.
Web Content Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Website Management:
    • Update and maintain the Together Site using WordPress, our content management system (CMS); Requires light HTML + CSS coding, asset updates, general upkeep
    • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content assets for website updates, press announcements, case studies and digital campaigns.
    • Collaborate with media agency on SEO best practices to improve website visibility and organic search rankings.
    • Ensure website functionality and raise any technical issues to the developer team to help troubleshoot.
    • Monitor website performance metrics and provide regular reports on key indicators such as traffic, engagement, and conversions.
    • Conduct audits of the website to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Collaborate with designers and developers to implement user interface enhancements and website redesigns.
    • Assist Senior Manager in the creation and scheduling of digital marketing campaigns across various channels
  • Digital Analytics and Reporting:
    • Utilize web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to track website performance and user behavior.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and website management.
    • Synthesize and analyze numbers into comprehensible learnings beyond pulling reports.
  • Administrative tasks:
    • Manage admin for 2 VPs (schedules, meeting coordination, travel etc) as well as assist with scheduling for the rest of the team
Web Content Specialist Qualifications:
  • Content Management System (CMS) ie. Wordpress or drupal
  • Basic understanding and experience in HTML and CSS
  • Basic understanding and experience in Adobe Photoshop and additional products within the Adobe Suite
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical nature, and willingness to raise questions and input new ideas or observations.
  • Strong eye in design and judgement on user experience.
  • Collaborative spirit and adaptability on quick pivots in tasks.
  • Proactive in learning new skills through individual research and references in provided resources.
Education:
  • Advertising, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Digital / New Media, Graphic Design, Journalism, or Marketing.
